◇hoodfishing：
※hoodはneighborhood（近所、地域）の略＋fishingは、騙したり、気を引いて「釣り上げる」行為。
A: Have you seen Mike’s video posts lately? It’s like he’s turned into some kind of ghetto baller.
B: Nah, I think he’s just hoodfishing―probably trying to impress some girl.
・ghetto スラム街 ・baller羽振りのいい人、大物 ・ some ＋単数名詞 どこかの、とある～
◇quiet luxury：高級な素材だが、ロゴに頼らず、
A: That’s a nice coat you’re wearing.
Is it from a designer label?
B: It is, but I chose it for its tone of quiet luxury―no logo, just good fabric and a perfect fit.
◇seat squatting：交通機関やイベント会場で、
A: When I boarded the plane, I found someone in the window seat I’d been assigned.
B: How annoying.
A: Yeah. One of the flight attendants told me this practice is called seat squatting and is becoming more common.
◇tradwife: 進んで家事や育児に専念する1950年の米国で見られた専業主婦
※traditional wifeの略。女性の社会進出が進む現代、仕事と家庭の両立につかれた女性らから共感を得ています。
A: I was reading a blog by a woman who quit her high-level corporate job to focus on taking care of her family full-time.
B: There seems to be a trend of opting for that kind of tradwife lifestyle―mainly among women reacting against dogmatic feminism.

◇smartphone face:いかにもスマホを使いこなせそうな現代的ないまどきの
※スマホを長時間使うことによる、たるみやしわを指して使う場合もあります。
A: Did you watch that new historical drama last night? The costumes were amazing.
B: I did, but I was totally distracted by the lead actor’s smartphone face.
A: I know! It totally ruins the suspension of disbelief!
・ distract注意等をそらす
・suspension of disbelief不信の停止、作り話と分かっていてもその世界に没頭する事
◇manosphere：男性の地位の向上を主張し、
※man 男性＋sphere 球、圏、領域
A: I stumbled across some blogs last night where the main topic was how most women are out to ruin men’s lives.
B: Ugh, that’s the manosphere for you. Some corners of the Internet are full of that kind of antifeminist rhetoric.
